If an agreement is not reached by this date, labor strikes could occur, significantly impacting major U.S. East and Gulf Coast ports.<\/p>\n<p>On October 3, a tentative wage agreement was reached, but when both parties met in November, discussions on technology-related issues caused negotiations to stall.
